Crostini or toasts? No matter what you call them these toasted slices of bread with stuff on top are delightful. Plus, crostini are a great appetizer to make for any occasion. I made a variety of crostini: avocado/bacon, ricotta/red pepper, brie/prosciutto, radish/butter/sea salt, hummus/olive tapenade (my personal favorite) and tomato/mozzarella. What I like most about crostini is they are incredibly versatile and there is only one ‘cooking’ step–the rest is up to your imagination.
