Weekly Photo Challenge: In the Background

Love this photo challenge.  While walking through Pompeii the looming presence of Mt. Vesuvius and the destruction it wrecked looms large.  Yet even from century old ruins life has a way of bursting forth.At the museum in Naples, Mz. Riz walks in background.And then to the modern world where poppies are perfectly backlit by lanterns.
